The Tsaluna Trek (also spelled Tshaluna or Tseluna) is a shorter, more accessible alternative to the classic Druk Path Trek, perfect for those looking for a compact Himalayan adventure. The trail crosses the mountain range separating the Paro and Thimphu valleys, offering beautiful views and, in late autumn and winter, clear glimpses of the distant Himalayan peaks. Along the way, trekkers pass through rhododendron forests and serene high-altitude lakes, while ancient temples and dzongs add a touch of history and culture to the journey. Visits to Paro and Thimphu further enrich the trip, with opportunities to explore monasteries, local markets, and cultural landmarks. Combining gentle trekking with Bhutan’s peaceful landscapes, the Tsaluna Trek provides a well-rounded experience of the country’s natural beauty and heritage.
