Grades Explained

Overview :
Adventure Travel provides a different kind of holiday. It must involve being in delightful, natural surroundings, but it must also present a significant physical and mental challenge to the traveler so that the outcome is not a foregone conclusion and there is a significant joy and satisfaction at having successfully come through.

White Magic carefully grades each trip taking into account things like the nature of the terrain, wilderness quotient, degree of physical and mental challenge and the highest altitude reached. White Magic also carefully assesses each prospective guest so that the most appropriate trip can be proposed for him or her – one that will present new challenges, requiring a slightly higher level of fitness and skill so that afterwards there is genuine sense of achievement and satisfaction. White Magic would never recommend a trip that will expose the guest to conditions and situations for which he or she is completely unprepared.

The White Magic Challenge Escalator is shown in the figure below

White Magic’s prospective customers can quickly consider at which point they might like to begin their journey into the world of mountain adventure. Once they have experienced a White Magic Trip and wish to ascend to the next level of proficiency and skill, they can select a trip of the correct grading to suit their needs. White Magic will automatically include opportunities to acquire new skills and mountain competences during the next level trip that has been selected. We also offer mountaineering courses if you wish to learn the skills required to start your climbing journey.
