Spiti Valley, a part of Lahaul-Spiti District, lies in the north eastern region of Himachal Pradesh. Dominated by the Tibetan Buddisht culture, the region has been shadowed by Ladakh in terms of popularity due it's remoteness. The winters in spiti are wonderful to say the least, the barren hills are draped in white tranforming the landscape completely. On this driving cum hiking holiday we let you experience one of the less popular winter destination in the Himalaya as we drive through winding roads and hike on snow trails.

What to expect

This trip is graded as an Active Holiday. These trips typically involve easy hiking on well maintained mountain trails closer to civilization in relatively low altitude regions. The effect of altitude is minimal once you acclimatize well. On a few multi-activity trips, you will go mountain biking or rafting too. Depending on the trip, you might be camping for the night or stay in homestays nestled in quaint mountain villages. We stay only in homestays on this trip.

This trip suits families or groups which have people with varied age group and fitness levels.

This is a winter trip and hence you should expect very cold conditions. The temperatures routienly go below -10'C; can go lower during the night and due to weather conditions. Good winter gear is important.
