The Laya Lingshi Trail in Bhutan is one of the country’s most scenic and culturally rich treks, taking you deep into the remote northwestern Himalayas. Starting from the Paro Valley, the route winds past rhododendron forests, alpine meadows, and ancient villages before reaching the high valleys beneath Mount Jomolhari. Crossing high mountain passes above 4,800 metres, trekkers are rewarded with breathtaking views of Jomolhari, Jichu Drake, and Tsherimgang, along with encounters with the semi-nomadic Layap people, known for their unique dress and traditions. This challenging yet rewarding trek combines dramatic Himalayan landscapes with a rare insight into Bhutan’s highland culture. Ideal for experienced trekkers, the Laya Lingshi Trek offers an unforgettable blend of wilderness, adventure, and authenticity in one of Bhutan’s most pristine regions.
Note: This trek is not open for Indians as per the Bhutan government regulations.

Cancellation terms
If it becomes necessary to cancel your trip, you must notify the office immediately in writing. The following terms would be applicable.
• More than 45 days prior to departure - we will refund the entire amount received by us minus a processing fee.
• Less than 45 days prior to departure - 25% of the Trip Cost as the cancellation charges and we will refund the balance.
• Less than 30 days prior to departure - 50% of the Trip Cost as cancellation charges and we will refund the balance.
• Less than 21 days - the entire amount would be forfeited.
The tour price is quoted as a package. No partial refunds or credit will be given for services not used. We recommend that you obtain cancellation travel insurance upon booking. If you can replace your spot by getting someone else to take that seat, cancellation charges would be waived completely.

The landing at Lukla itself is a remarkable one. We exit from the Airport to meet with our Trek crew. We trek for around 2 1/2 hrs up the Dudh Kosi Valley on a good trail to our campsite at Phakding. It is a river side camp.
