This 7-day Bhutan journey blends scenic drives, gentle hikes, and deep cultural immersion as you traverse some of the kingdom’s most beautiful valleys and passes. Beginning with a dramatic arrival in Paro and a drive across the high Chele La Pass, you descend into the serene Haa Valley, where alpine meadows, fluttering prayer flags, and centuries-old temples reveal a quieter, more traditional Bhutan. Explore Haa on foot, visiting the White and Black Temples, picnicking in forested meadows, and enjoying local food before returning via Chele La to Paro. Here, soak in Bhutan’s history with visits to Rinpung Dzong and the National Museum, then tackle the iconic hike to the cliff-hugging Tiger’s Nest Monastery, its dramatic setting matched by the spiritual legends surrounding it. Continue to the capital, Thimphu, pausing at sacred bridges and giant Buddha statues, bustling craft markets, and the royal fortress of Tashichho Dzong. A final forested hike from Hongtsho to Dochu La Pass rewards you with sweeping Himalayan views and the 108 memorial chortens, a fitting culmination to a week filled with pristine landscapes, living traditions, and the quiet spirituality that defines Bhutan.
