The Kailash Manasarovar Yatra is a rare and deeply meaningful journey into one of the most sacred and remote regions of the Himalaya, venerated for millennia by Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and followers of Bon. Set on the vast Tibetan Plateau, the pilgrimage centres around the crystal-clear waters of Lake Manasarovar and the striking, solitary presence of Mount Kailash, regarded as the spiritual axis of the universe. The journey unfolds gradually across high-altitude landscapes, ancient trade routes, and stark, elemental terrain, demanding both physical endurance and mental composure. Its spiritual culmination lies in the three-day circumambulation (parikrama or kora) of Mount Kailash, traversing high passes and glacial valleys at elevations above 5,000 metres. Grounded in tradition yet shaped by the realities of altitude and remoteness, the yatra is as much an inner journey as it is an outward one - offering pilgrims a rare sense of perspective, humility, and quiet transformation.

The Kailās Yātra, as the name clearly suggests, is a yātra and not a typical White Magic Trek / Expedition. There are strict restrictions with respect to our operational freedom in Tibet Autonomous Region of China in general, and on the Kailās Yātra in particular. Our trusted team from Nepal - who’ve been working with us for over 2 decades - will accompany our group and will provide all support and services within the ambit of possibility. There is no room for upgradation of services in Tibet nor an option to break away from the group / change travel plans in the last minute (except for evacuation in case of a medical emergency). Our goal is to safely complete the yātra and the parikrama trek. This is not a typical mountain holiday, so one must set their expectations accordingly.
