MAX ALTITUDETilicho Lake is a spectacular emerald-green lake situated at 4919m & is one of the highest freshwater lakes of its size in the world. Tilicho Peak, part of the Northern Annapurna Himal feeds this lake which is the source of the Marshyangdi river. The trek starts at 2700m and takes you through idyllic villages, pristine forests & open meadows following the river all the way to the source. After reaching the lake we cross the famed Thorong La pass (5416m) & cross over to the holy village of Muktinath in the arid Kali Gandaki valley, a trek route which is part of the Annapurna Circuit. With views of massive 7000m peaks up close to experiencing variety in terrain across altitudes - the Tilicho lake trek is extremely special. A trek that should feature in the list of any Himalayan trekker.
