This glacier mountaineering course is for those looking to climb big mountains where navigating complex glacial terrain becomes imperative. The Parkachik glacier, situated at the base of Mt.Nun, a formidable 7000m peak in the Zanskar range, is an ideal training ground to pick up glacier skills.  Large ice walls and crevasse-filled sections on this glacier mimic the conditions of Himalayan expeditions, giving the participants a complete understanding of the terrain. The course focuses on imparting ice climbing, fixed rope climbing, and crevasse rescue skills. The course will be led by veteran expedition leaders and experienced Sherpas who have scaled multiple peaks across the Himalaya, from whom the participants get to learn a lot more than what is taught.
